Why should I get Acupuncture?
Not only is acupuncture the oldest form of drug-free medicine but it looks at the body as an entire system assessing the whole person physically, mentally, and emotionally. With acupuncture we treat your symptoms while also uncovering the root of your health concerns to help you achieve a more balanced self. Further assessment is made to determine what adjustments can be made in your lifestyle to maintain this balance so you can be your best and most healthy self.
Acupuncture is effective in reducing physical pain and discomfort while also treating emotional and mental concerns. At Anna Acupuncture, we are in this together and I want you to feel empowered to not just treat your symptoms but to take preventative action so you can have the best life possible.
Whether it is training for your next marathon, recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain or anxiety, working on digestive issues, suffering from allergies or other symptoms, or simply wanting the cosmetic benefits, acupuncture can help get you to where you want to be and how you want to feel so you can achieve your personal goals and do the things you love to do (climb a mountain, walk in the park, play with your children or grandchildren, code into the wee hours of the morning, dance the night away, prepare a mouthwatering meal, whatever it is that makes you happy!). Ultimately, I want to partner with you to help you live your BEST life.

“Anna has been my acupuncturist for the past few years. She has treated me for all of the ailments life may throw at you. From sports injuries, digestive disorders, to dealing with the stresses of everyday life. Her love of her work, knowledge, and boundless compassion is what makes me keep coming back. I cannot thank Anna enough for all her insight into all things that make me a better mother, partner, and person.”
“I was lucky enough to be treated by Anna many times for various ailments. Anna is a highly compassionate and insightful practitioner. She is always very attentive and thoughtful in constructing the proper treatment protocol that is not just based from rigorous learning, but also from her own personal first hand experiences which is invaluable. People can understand or be well educated in an issue or symptom but they understand it even more when they have actually experienced it. She is also very adept at trigger point needling, as I had some sessions in which she relieved the knots in my upper back, of which had been bothering me for quite some time in the manner of seconds. I found it very easy to confide in Anna and have never felt rushed through any of my treatments. Overall I would like to say that not only is she a competent practitioner, but also a very compassionate person as well.”
“Anna first started treating me in New York City before she moved to Colorado a few years after we first met. Now that she lives in Colorado I make it a point to come see her whenever I vacation there or am passing by on my way to the West coast (I’ll take a longer connecting flight in Denver so I can get treated before I catch my next flight). Anna is a compassionate, intuitive and skillful acupuncturist. She is truly gifted in the healing arts! Her caring acupuncture session made me feel safe, relaxed, and greatly helped my anxiety and stress. I felt like I was a new person after her treatment. Also after receiving a series of her sessions, my lower back pain significantly reduced! I encourage anyone who is considering acupuncture to see Anna and get ready for a life-changing experience. She is an exceptional acupuncturist and a true gem. Now she is a regular part of my wellness routine! Thank you, Anna!”
“The first time I saw Anna was for ongoing shoulder pain. I had completed physical therapy months before but the reoccurring pain was back and running down my bicep and across my shoulder blade. (I have some arthritis in my shoulder and neck and it flares up at times.) I tried cupping alone first. It’s hard to describe how it felt. It was a strange sensation but it didn’t hurt. I felt the tightness of my skin being sucked into the cups and upon the dragging and release of the cups, my muscles felt looser and the tension released. My neck also seemed looser and more mobile.
A month later I went back for acupuncture. Anna periodically asked how I felt. Most of the time I felt nothing when the needles were inserted which was a surprise. Sometimes a muscle seemed to jump in reaction to a needle being placed. Before the treatment Anna explained this might happen, as the tension I was holding would be released. It was strangely relaxing. I also felt myself let go emotionally.
It took more than one treatment and it took time in between treatments to work on my shoulder pain. For me, I had not realized that I was also building anxiety because of the shoulder pain and having to deal with it. (Welcome to aging.) I was surprised by the emotional release I had during the treatment but was thankful for it as I began to relax and be in the moment.
Acupuncture was both a mind and body experience for me. My muscles felt more relaxed after the acupuncture but the following day I felt a bit sore as if I worked out at the gym. Anna forewarned me about this and said it was a normal reaction for the technique. As the week progressed I felt improvement and my soreness went away. There’s no perfect amount of times to seek treatment and it’s likely different for everyone but when I listen to my body and jump on it sooner, rather than later, my body is happier.
Anna was excellent in explaining the procedures and what it was supposed to accomplish as well as what my body’s reaction to the treatment would be. She also offered music and wonderful essential oils, my favorite, jasmine with orange.
Oops, forgot to mention I also had a sinus treatment, too.My nose was plugged and the needles in my face gave me immediate relief, which was really cool to experience!”
